According to Johns Hopkins researchers, approximately 48 million Americans report some degree of hearing loss. Since communication needs differ, these forms of commu- nication access should be available:

1- Assistive listening system/devices
2- CART (realtime captioning) and qualified inter- preters upon request

An induction loop should be installed at these locations. This allows a person with a telecoil-equipped hearing aid/ cochlear implant (HA/CI) to understand someone speaking into the microphone by simply switching the HA/CI to the T-coil setting.
